what does it mean to be a hater, but in an ethical way? what if there were an, uhhhhh, ethics,,,, of being a hater? since we decided to make a whole ass series themed around (once again) being an ethical hater, we decided we needed to define our terms here. and who better to help us do that than brandy jensen, the absolute legend and h8r extraordinaire who is now technically a professional advice-giver. there was some yelling and also some deep thinking and occasionally both at the same time. together, we tackle thrilling questions such as:
what counts as “being a hater,” and when is it warranted?
is there a difference between being a hater and talking shit?
is haterdom ever a result of how we feel about ourselves?
who was the greatest literary hater?
who do we, personally, hate?
and relatedly, will any of us suffer either professional or personal consequences as a result of things we said on this podcast?
